Egypt Day is March 20th!
Science - none

Social Studies - ALL CLASSES - Start getting supplies and planning for your ancient Egyptian artifact (due 3/18).
Here is a brief description of our ancient Egypt artifact project:
"Students are to research an ancient artifact from Egypt located in one of the Museum websites given in class.  Students will conduct research by taking down information, such as a description of the artifact, what it's purpose was, where it was found, what material it is made out of, and any other interesting information they may find on their artifact.  Once students have selected an artifact that interests them, they will be required to recreate their artifact.  Artifacts can be recreated out of any material, as long as it closely resembles the original artifact.  A NOTE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS:  We do encourage students to be supervised when using certain materials as needed (hot glue guns, staplers, sharp objects, etc.), however, the project should be prominently recreated by the student.  We are not looking for works of art or for students to make unnecessary purchases to complete this project.  We are looking for effort, creativity, accuracy of the original artifact, and of course for students to have fun."
